On November 15, 2015, a taxi carrying three passengers in Woodburn, Oregon was rear-ended by another vehicle being operated by a drunk driver. The two vehicle collision occurred on Highway 99E near Belle Passi Road. The taxi was traveling south on Highway 99 when it was hit by the drunk driver. One of the taxi passengers, and a resident of Woodburn, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drunk driver was booked on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person and second-degree manslaughter.
