On February 11, 2014, a 26 year old mother and her 9 year old daughter were killed in a two-vehicle collision on Turner Road SE in Salem, OR. The mother and her daughter were passengers in a vehicle which crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle. The driver and two additional children passengers were transported to Salem Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
A Salem Police Department Traffic Control Unit investigation has not been able to clarify what caused the vehicle to cross the center line, but it does not appear that intoxicants or speed were factors.

This was an extremely tragic accident which has certainly devastated the family, friends and community of those who were killed and injured. If your loved one has been killed in an auto accident due to the fault of another driver, a wrongful death claim may be asserted in order to compensate the surviving family members for their losses and damages. It is very important to consult with an experienced wrongful death attorney in such catastrophic matters as they can be extremely complex and emotionally draining.
